The silent hours

The forest is a place where one gets lost in its vastness, in the repetition of shapes and colors, yet the eye lingers on an infinity of details and variations.
Here, it reveals itself as a pattern, a space where opacity and transparency, textures and light, depth, passage, and mystery intertwine.
This project is an exhibition commission presented as part of the 15th edition of the Transversales festival, entitled “Forest, Forest, Forest.” It was created and staged by students from the University of Rennes.
The exhibition simulates a walk through the woods, unfolding over the course of a day, from night to sunset. It traces the forest in its various states: under snow, through the first rays of daylight, and in the darkness of the night. These prints, with their rich diversity of colors, immerse us in the abundance of nature.
